Brendan Lee Satish Tang was born in Dublin, Ireland, and is a naturalized citizen of Canada. Tang has exhibited in juried and invitational shows around the world and his work has been collected by such notable institutions as the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the Seattle Art Museum, the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, the Gardiner Museum, among others. In 2010, Tang was a finalist for the prestigious Sobey award and in 2013, his work will be exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. His education includes the Master of Fine Arts degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. He currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.
